Is Bayley's non-accredited training available to individuals?
No. We only offer short courses training to groups.
This is because we don’t run off-the-shelf short courses (non-accredited training). Instead, we tailor all our short courses to the particular requirements of the client's organisation. This gives a much stronger result for participants and organisations, at a very affordable price.
We can arrange short courses for groups of 6 or more. Contact us to discuss your requirements.
Are Bayley's short courses (non-accredited training) tailored to suit my organisation?
Yes. All our extensive range of short courses are customised to suit the learning and development needs of the group we are working with.
We find that this gives the best educational outcome, as the training is tailored to reflect the realities of the workplace and to address the particular issues that the client wants to cover. We will work with your organisation’s policies and procedures, and provide examples and case studies to reflect your organisation’s context.
We always design our short courses with nationally recognised competency standards in mind. There is an extensive array of competency standards covering most workplace needs, and we find they are an excellent starting point for short courses.
If I complete a short course (non-accredited training) with Bayleys, can I get a Statement of Attainment later on?
Yes. All our short courses cover at least some of the competency requirements for various units of competence. There may be some small content gaps that we can cover with you by self-paced learning.
Usually, the most significant difference between our accredited and non-accredited training is that assessment tasks are not included in the non-accredited training programs. So if you have completed non-accredited training, we will need to give you a competency assessment before we can issue the statement of attainment. We have used this approach effectively for many individual and organisational clients over a number of years.
There are many different ways to undertake an assessment, including completing workplace tasks that we set for you, providing evidence that you are actually performing the functions under assessment in your workplace, completing assignments, attending a competency assessment workshop or participating in a competency assessment interview. We will work with you to find the easiest pathway to a statement of attainment to suit your circumstances.
